Foreign children can enroll in public schools for free if they wish. Apply at the School Education Division in Ota City Hall (0276-47-1912).

Even if you do not understand Japanese, you can consult in multiple languages at the Foreign Resident Consultation Desk on the 1st floor of Ota City Hall (Phone: 0276-48-1001, Weekdays 8:30-17:15).

Visa renewals are done at the Takasaki Immigration Bureau (027-328-1154), not City Hall. If you renew your visa, remember to extend your My Number Card at City Hall.
