    After retiring, you must complete procedures for both 'National Health Insurance' (City Hall) and 'National Pension' (Pension Office) within 14 days. Please complete them promptly to avoid being uninsured.

    You must complete the 'enrollment' procedure when leaving a company, and the 'withdrawal' procedure when starting a new job, within 14 days. Delays may result in paying full medical costs or double billing of insurance taxes.

    All residents aged 20 to 59 must join. The premium is 17,920 yen/month (as of April 2026). Smartphone payments and advance payment discounts are available. If you cannot pay, apply for an exemption.
