For your child's sudden illness, call #8000. You can consult with nurses about how to handle sudden illnesses during nights and holidays (Call charges apply).

A certificate for individuals with permanent physical disabilities to use welfare systems. Apply at the Disability Welfare Division.

An independent medical insurance system for those aged 75 and over. Please check the Wide-Area Union's website for details.

NHI members aged 40 and over can receive a free annual health checkup worth about 10,000 yen. Don't forget to take it between May and December.

A notice will be sent to eligible persons about two months later. Wait for the notice before applying.

After getting a job and receiving your company's health insurance card, please complete the procedures to withdraw from National Health Insurance at the City Hall. If you forget, you will pay double insurance premiums.

You must complete the 'enrollment' procedure when leaving a company, and the 'withdrawal' procedure when starting a new job, within 14 days. Delays may result in paying full medical costs or double billing of insurance taxes.

All residents aged 20 to 59 must join. The premium is 17,920 yen/month (as of April 2026). Smartphone payments and advance payment discounts are available. If you cannot pay, apply for an exemption.

To use nursing care (preventive nursing care) services, you must first apply for 'Nursing Care Needs Certification' at the city hall.
